Ltd., report having 'held their weakly sale in the Solway (Mastcrton) yards on Wednesday, when they offered a very small, yardine of sheep, but a fair yarding of cattle. 'I he report states for all lots was fairly kjen, and we are pleased to report practically a clearance-. Amongst the cattle entry was a line of 28 station cows in only fair condition, which realised £3 9s' Other quotations were as follow:—Poor condition store cows, 36=.; forward cows, £3 is. to £3 165.; two-year steers, £3 125.: two-vcar -heifers, £2 lCs. to £3; mixed wcaners, 335. 6d.; bull. £4 12s. 6d. Hessre. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Jolinsonvillo sale, held yesterday, as follows :-IVe offered a fair yarding of bullocks and'a heavy one of sheep, which sold readily at late rates. Prime heavy bullocks, £10 12s. 6d. to £11 7s. 6(1.; prime bullocks, £10 to £10 7s. 6(1.; light, £9 to £9 55.; prime wetlicrs, £1 Cs. Gd. to 218.; lighter, 19s. Id.; light, 17s. 3d. to 18s. (By Telegraph.—Proas Association.) Chrlstcliurcli, August 23. At Addinct-on live stock market thcro were fairly large entries of stock, and the aUfiudaricc was nbovc the average of lat.e rales. There was no Material change in ilia value of beef, and fat shoeu were firm at last week's rates. Store sheen were oa-'ier iu demand, but prices remained without much alteration. There was ,-ieqod -villi for pies and tho better class of dairycows, but little demand for store cattle. Tho yardins of stare sheep was samewhat smaller Um that of the previous week, but the quality' was a little better. Ewes formed the larger part, the balance being chiefly hoggets and.a.few peus .of wethers. Though tho'demand was not so keen there was practically no change, in prices. Tho range of prices was: Hoggets, rood ewes, 12s. 9d. to 13s. Id.; good wcrhsra, II". to lls. 7d.; medium raised sexes, 9s. 9u~ to. 10s. 3d.; small sorts, to Bs. <d.; weth-. ers, forward sorts, 15s. to 16s. 7d.; fair sorts, 14s. to 153.; low-conditioned 'twotooths, 10s. to 125. 6d.; ewes; specially- good two-tooth halfbreds, 19s. 7d.; others, -15s. id. to 165.; four, six and eight-tooths, Ms. 9(1 ; sound-mouth, lls. 6d. to 135.; low-con-ililioned sorts, 10s. to lls.: aged,. ss. 6d. to 7b. 6d.; good ewes and.lambs, 9s. 6d. (all counted). Tho entry of fat sheep was not quito equal to last week in point ol unmoors, and was of mixed'quality, the bulk being wethers.
