The Hawkc's Bay Farmers' Co-operative Association, Ltd.,, report on their wool and hide sale hold yesterday as follows:— Wo offered a good catalogue of skins and hides, and less than the usual quantity of wool to a. big attendance of buyers from all quarters. Competition was keen for nil lots in our catalogue, and, although the bulk of what we offered was rough and inferior, all made good value, and anything at all attractive realised prices that would be hard to beat at. the bigger centres. Crutchings were about on the same level as at last sale, but there was an advance in sheepskins. Hides made fair money. Wool: Medium to coarse crutchings, s£d. to sid.; rough and inferior, sd. to <tl.; locks, 3i?d. and 3.W1.: dead tin bags), 6*d.; fleece (in bags), 6id.; black. 53d. Sheepskins: Good medium to'fine quality. 6Jd.; conrsc, Gid.; good* hoggets, 6id. and 6d.; dead and, damaged hoggets, old. and Sd.; dead, 4'd.; rough short-woolled skins, 4d. and 22d.: inferior pelts, 6d. per. piece; gre'eii skins; Es. to 4s. 6d. for heavy to medium weights; light and faulty* 45." to 2s. 6d.
