1 TALL BETWEEN STEAMER AND \ WIIAIIV. ' At 11 o'clock last night a roan named Martin Peterson, belonging to tho steamer Queen of the South, foil off tho Queen's Wharf between tho s.s. Kapuni and the wharf, breaking one of his arms, sailors and was attended by Dr. Henry, tho doctor directing his removal to tlib Hospital. FATAL AFFAIR AT OTIEA TUNNEL. A fatal accident oecurred at the Otira tunnel works to-day, when a man named Frank Cuthbert, aged 31 years, married, with two children, was killed by being crushed between a motor train and a shed. DEATH UNDER CHLOROFORM.
Auckland, August 22. Walter Dodds Coisar, accountant, collapsed while under chloroform in the rooms of Dr. Purchas to-day. Ho died two hours later.
