In the Judge's Chambers in the Suj preme Court,, a young woman aged 20, petitioned under the Marriage Act, liluj, tor an order declaring that a marriage, she desired to enter into with a _ man; of 21 was proper. Her mother, a widow, refused her consent, though if was shown (ho man was of good character\ and «uruing sufficient to keep .v wife .• The onlv reason the mother adduced was, that the man had no home to take hi* prospective wife to.
