ROSENEATH PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

4 FOUNDATION-STONE LAID. The ceremony of laying the foundationstone of : the new Roseneath Presbyterian Church was performed on Saturday afternoon by Mr. J. G. W. Aitk'en. Tho new building, which is in Grafton Road, is expected (o provide accommodation for about ItQ people, and will bo completed some time in October. In addressing tho gathering Mr. Aitkon referred to the growth of Rosoneath, and also the growth of tho Presbyterian Church there. At one time that district was under the charge of the Kent Terraco pastor, but it had so increased that it was now able to support a pastor of its own. Tho Rots. Kennedy Elliott, Paterson, and W. DQujjflas, and Mr. G. Smith also addressed the gathering. .At tho conclusion Jlr. Aitken was presented with a silvermounted mallet of ornamental wood, in commemoration of the occasion. The sum of .£2B ss. !ld. was subscribed by those present towards tho"cost of tho building.
