The press generally notices tho loss sustained by tho Australian Catholics in tho death of Cardinal Moran, and refer to the Cardinal's militancy and his uuceasing effort in the cause of Homo Rule. THE CATHEDRAL CROWDED. (Rec. August 18, 10.10 p.m.) Sydney, August 18. Enormous crowds thronged St. Mary's Cathedral throughout tho day in the endeavour to view tho lato Cardinals body lyin" in State, and hundreds were unablo to g°ain admittance. Painful demonstrations of grief were- witnessed. The interment has been postponed until Sunday. MESSAGE FROM LORD DENMAN. (Rec. August 10, 1.0 a.m.) Melbourne, August 18. The Governor-General, Lord Denman, has sent an autograph letter to Archbishop Carr, as head of tho Roman Catholic Church in Australia, expressing his deep sympathy in connection with the death of Cardinal Moian. His Excellency is also sending an aide-dc-oamp to Sydney to represent him at the obsequies. NATIONALIST PARTY'S SYMPATHY(Rec. August 19, 1.0 a.m.) London, August 18. Mr. J. Redmond, M.P., Leader of the Nationalist party, has sent a cable mes; sago to the lato Cardinal Moran's secretary, expressing tho Irish party's sorrow at the Cardinal's death. IRISH NATIONALIST REPRESENTATIVE. (Rec. August 19, 0.5 a.m.) Sydney, August 18. At'the request of the Irish Nationalist party, Mr. W. Rednioml, M.P., ono of tho Irish envoys now in Queensland, is , returning from Brisbane to represent tho party at Cardinal Moran's obsequies.
