Mr. K. G. Aickin, of the Auckland branch of the National Bank of New" Zealand, is spending a few week in Wellington, on holiday leave. Our Hastings correspondent states that Mr. A. L. D. Fraser has left for Waiioa with a view to prosecuting his campaign for tho Hawke's Bay seat in the latest addition to the electorate. Tho funeral took place on Thursday of 3ir. Henry E. Bovey, late accountant to the Millar Australian Hardwood Company. Deceased, who was very well known in Wellington, was a member of the Masonic order, and the Masonic service was recited at the graveside. Mr. Dovpy was for nine years secretary of the New Zealand Kennel Club, and for a long time interested himself in tho affairs of the Wellington Kennel Club and tho Wellington Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Association.
