TAYLOR MEMORIAL FUND.
A meeting of the Taylor Memorial Fund Committee was held yesterday in tho Town Hall. In the absence of tho Mayor tho Kov. .T. Dawson occupied the chair. The secretary reported that he had communicated with tho general committee at Curistchurch, and was awaiting further information on tho work from there. 1! was wsolved: "That letters of thanks b;> sent to the City Council. Messrs;. Wright and Carman, Mr. hankshoar, and Mr. Maughan Harnett for assistance given towards the memorial service, on Sumlav, 'Ausjust B, and that thanks be also tendered to this choir which assisted." ]f was decided to make it known to the' public that only the lists which were printed in ChrMchurch, and bear the names of the executive officers and committee, he recognised as official. All persons in Wellington having lists are asked to report to tho secretary (Mr. H. M'Laren) at the Town Nail by Monday, August 21, when another meeting of .the co'mniittce will bo held at i p.m.
