WELLINGTON BOYS' INSTITUTE
A chorus of boys' voices was organised at the Boys' Institute on Wednesday night with tho object of learning temperance souks for the coiniiiK election meetings. Mr. I'ierard has consented to train the boys and Miss Chapman is hen. pianist. The • chorus meets every Wednesday at.7.15 p.m., and is open to all ljoys who can sing. On Thursday ovenins a contest was held among .members (o decide who was th« champion mouth-organ player of tho Institute. Sid Bidell was declined (he winner, and was presented with a. "knockout" month organ, tho gift of Mr. V. W. Gardiner. An effort is to be made to organise a liioutli-orsan. band and a. moating with that object in view is called for next Thursday.
