The directors in their report state:—"The old offices of the company in Lambton Quay having been found inconvenient and inadequate for the business, the board derided to pnrehase the leasehold premises in Hunter Street, wnich have been found suitable in orery respect. The season just passed has not been nearly so profitable as the preceding, and at one time the collapse in prices in London for frozen meat was causing heavy loss on purchases. The , turn of the market, however, cams in good time, with satisfactory results. Your directors have to refer with regret to the deaths of Messrs. IT. Holmes and G. C. Wheeler, whose services to the company both on the board and in the country were of great value.. The vacancies so caused were, following the board's usual policy in such cases of appointing influential farmers, filled by Messrs'. E. Newman, M.P., and James Campion, both gentlemen being well known and having wide influence with producers in tbeir districts. The retiring , directors are Messrs. J. W. Marshall and W. If. licctham. who are eligible and offer themselves for-re-election. The auditors, Messrs. O. S. WatUins and'E. W. Hunt, also offer themselves for re-election. •
