SLUM LECTURE.
A special census of certain crowdcd areas in Wellington has been taken on behalf of Mr. Charles C. Keade, who will lecture tonight at the Town Hall C'Onccrt Chamber on tho subject of "Slums." The resulting figures, it is stated, will be somewhat astonishing to the audience, and there will be many other interesting and instructive features in the lecture and the excellent series of lantern views accompanying it. The chairman is to be Councillor Hindmarsh, chairman of the City Council Library Committee, under whose auspices the lecture is being held. Admission is free.
