i .3 CUBA ST. STABBING—FATAL END. Patrick Haydcn, who was admitted to the hospital last Wednesday night suffering -from a knife wound in his abdomen, died yesterday. The circumstances, according to the information in the possession of tho police, are that at about ten minutes to eleven on Wednesday night the deceased was standing in a doorway in. Cuba Street. Ho was seen to stagger out 011 to tlje street. Ho was picked up by two men, and it was found, or rather it was supposed, that ho had stabbed himself. He was taken to Dr. Jtackin, who ordered his removal to tho hospital, whither ho was sent.in.an ambulance conveyance.

Deceased admitted to Constable Challis that he had stabbed himself, as he was afraid he would get into trouble. He had been drinking for some time. The knife with which lie had stabbed himself was found in the doorway. Deceased was married, but had been living opart from his wife for some time.

There will be an inquest at 3 p.m. today 1 . ,
