Once the field settled down, lnvermoy6on took charge. Minato went to the
front before the turn was reached, followed by Bribery, Huutcrston, Yarrabar, ;vjd Invermayson, with Arqueliuse last. Excepting that Steam displaced Bribery in second place, thcro was little change till after passing the judge's box the second time. The pace quickened along tlio back, where Minato still led from Obi, and Yarrabar, with Flash .Tack am' Arquebuse handy. Minato fell back tlio turn, anil Obi took command, bi fell at the last hurdle, leaving Arqucbu-e in front from Minato, Flash Jack, and Batlory. In a good finish, Arquebnse won by a neck, with two lengths between second and third. Time, timin. 52lsec.
