Saturday morning was fine, and there was a large number of spectators present, to witness the final gallops, which proved fairly interesting. All of the gallops took place on tlio outside of the course proper, which was in capital order. G. Murray-Ayusley was first to commence proceedings by dispatching Bonny Glen (C. Emerson) for a mile gallop, which ho ran in lmjn. -15 4-sscc. The Winter Cup candidate finished up his task well, and it was a pleasing performance. Edna May II ran six furlongs in lmin. 225ec.., and Prim ran a mile comfortably in lmin. Msec. Kingswav was going bettor than Maui at the cad of a similar journey in lmin. 54sec. | Coroniform (C. Emerson), who also ran eight furlongs, took lmin. 47scc. for the journey. Deerslayer ran half a mile in.sß 2-ssec. Martino (light-weight) occupied lmin. 47 2-sscc. while getting to the end of a mile journev. Milo, with a big advantage in the weights, proved too good lor Eurus at the end of a milo and a quarter, tlio time' registered, being 2min. 9sec. Hawick (L. Hill) gave an excellent display of fencing while jumping eight flights of the schooling-hurdles. ' Flitaway (F. E. Jones) was going better than Masterpiece at tho finish.of a sevenfurlong go, which was run in lmin. 32 2-5 sec _ a good performance. Countermine had a bit the better of Counterfeit at tho finish of eight furlongs, run in lmin. 47 3-ssec.

Flambeau (light weight), assisted by tho Whirlpool colt over the last part, ran seven furlongs in lmin. 3i 4-sscc. Alexis ran half a milo up tho back in 53sec. Inev (J. Buchanan), Negative (F. Langstone), and Gold Circle (T. O'Brien) ran seven furlongs in lmin. 34 3-s;ec. lne first-named, who was on tho outside, had all the best of matters at the end of tho journey.

Somersault easily boat Avarico in ,-a spin over five furlongs, run in lmin. 5.1-osec.—a useful gallop.

St. Aidan, assisted by Wedge over the last seven furlongs, registered an attractive performance by running a mile and a quarter in 2mih. 15 3-ss;c. Salopian (L. Hill) andEibstone Pippin (C. Cochrane) fenced safely in a schoolingtask over twice round of the big fences.

Nyland (A. Oliver) and Boanerges. (E. Hatch) ran a mile in lmin. 48 3-s.=ec., the first half of the journey being run in 52s:c. Considering the weights carried, it was a satisfactory performance, tho former, on the outside, being slightly in front at the finish.

Gold Pin and Sapience ran the last nine furlongs of a mile and a qinrfer in 2min. flsec. Amaru ran half a mile in 53 2-ssec.

Effort (W. Eyan) was going much better than Ariom at the end of a six-furlong spin, run in lmiu. 20 4-ssec. Muinura (C. Emerson), assisted by Puaka. over the last part, ran a mile in lmin. 50 2-ssec. AH Guns ran half a milo up the back in 53 l-ssec.

Odessa (C. Jenkins), Undecided (E. natch), and Sublime ran seven furlongs in lmin. 35 3-sscc., the first-named finishing slightly in front, although Undecided was going well.

Lovell (H. Telford) fenced in his usual attractive manner, while jumping over twice round of tho big fences. Sea King ran six furlongs in lniin. 23scc. Centaur, The Native, and Antarctic ran a mile in lnvjn. Msec.' Tho first-named finished slightly in front, although Antarctic, who got left, a couple of lengths) was finishing well, and performed satis-' foctorily. Togo (E. Parker), Canterbury (J. Levin), Kildonan (C. Cress), and Dogger. Bank (H. Hickton) were to havo gone together over five (lights of the Ilurdle-s, but Hcgger. Bank bolted the opposite way: round before starting, and the other threo set out together. Togo fell at the first fence, but the other pair jumping well performed their tasks satisfactorily. Dogger Bank was afterwards jumped over a couple of flights. King of Trumps (R. Wilson) finished a long way in front of Liberty (V. Coleman) at the conclusion of a round over 1 tho big fences.

Uncle Tom (A. M'Lcod) and Wayback (Jnck'son) set out from the double for a couple of rounds of the big fences. At the brush fence the former lost his rider, tho latter finishing his task safely.

Dearest (W.Young) ran six furlongs in lmin. 22 l-ssee. Expansion and- Busvlsnd ran half a mile up the back. Northern Star and Sea Dog finished together at the end of a mile journey.

Fasnakylo (light-weight) ran sis furlongs in'train. 23sec.

Compass (T. Pine) and Espartero (Jerry O'Connell) gave a good display while jumping five flights of tho schooling hurdles. Merry Lass-ran six furlongs in lmin. 21 3-SSC-C. Shillelagh and Myall ran a mile and a half in 2miu. 58jsec., Revenge going the'last milo and a quarter and King of Trumps the last mile. Eevenge was in front at the finish.

Wirral (R. Gray) and Captain Jingle (Joe O'Connell) went once round over tho big fences, and, with the exception of the former running off at the last fence, tho pair performed creditably.

Paisano (Jones) and Continuance (W. Young) gave a first-class display whilo jumping four flights of the schooling hurdles.

Corazon gave Dorando a bad beating over'a mile and a half on the. sand tracL running once round in 2min. 37 3-5 sec., and the last six furlongs in lmin. 25sec.

F.iya. ran half a mile in 53 3-ssec. Cardiff ran the last seven furlongs of a mile in lmin". 39sec. Czar Kolohol defeated Teanga over five furlongs, run in lmin. 6 3-ssec. Silkweb was too good for Ahuapai over half a mile, run in 53 2-ssec. Winiata, ran a mile in lmin 5G 2-ssec. Yasmak (C. Cress) fenced safely over once round of the big fences. Friwolliti ran five furlongs in: lmin. 7 l-ssec. The Eover was indulged in a short sprinting task.

Paritutu (R. Thompson) and Dnil (W. Young) fenced safely whilo jumping five of the big fences. The latter was lama after work. St. Albert defeated Tyrannic over a mile and a half journey, ruii in 2min. 58 4-5 see. Le Beau ran a mile in lmin. 54sec., and Gold Dredge five furlongs i'i lmin. 9sec. The Cornet and Tangawa finished together at tho end of six furlongs, run in lmin. 22 l-ssec. Master Paul and Eaglestone ran the last seven furlongs of a milo in lmin. 37 l-ssec. AVairaki (L. Coleman) and Passive '.C. Cochrane) jumped four flights of the hurdles. Medallist ran half a milo up tho back in 51 l-ssec. Saline (H. Hickton) jumped safely over fcur flights of the schooling hurdles. Jloanga (E. Thompson) and Stayboy (F. Flynii); fencing slowly, went once round over the big fences. The latter ran off at tho last fence. Ito ran half a milo in 54 3-ssec. True Blue, Tho Gunner, and Honest Tom merely did steady work.
