AMATEUR ATHLETICS.

REVISION OP RULES. A special meeting $( the Wellington Centre of tho New iCcaiand Amateur Athletic Association was held at the Y.M.C.A. last evening, to receive the reports of the delegates of tho Centre (Messrs. Ross and Larkin), at the meeting of tho New Zealand Council held to discuss the revision of tho rules. Mr. Ross complained that certain motions of his, referring to amendments of rules, were not received by the council, which, ho mentioned, had failed to give proper notice of the meeting. He further pointed out that the rules since adopted could not be held to have- been properly passed, and it was his intention to lake the necessary constitutional action to re-open the question. • It was resolved that the Centre had every confidence in its two delegates, and regretted that the council had not offered Mr. Ross, an opportunity of submitting his motions. The hope was expressed that tho council would yet see its way to allow these to bo brought forward, especially in view of the fact that they were in the best interests of the game.
