BIG DEMAND FOR SMALL FARMS. Tho number of prospective buyers of Lower Waikato lauds is at present, according to the Auckland "Herald," eclipsing anything hitherto known. Both large and small-sized places are in demand, and sales in all districts covering a wide area are being recorded in quick succession, indeed, it is now becoming tho exception for a day to pass by without a sale of property having been effected. One after another the farms and holdings are being subdivided to mest tlio demand for small-sized farm?, on which some of the new arrivals intend to: pursue mixed farming and others dairying. Numbers of those who have purchased moderate-sized farms during the past two years have cut up the same into areas ranging from 20 to 40 acres, and such areas aro being snapped up with avidity, while many of the Into owners are showing their conviction in the future prospects of this part by again investing in surrounding districts.
