At intervals between March and June three bodies of Indian women wero discovered on, tho island of Navua, buried in shallow graves, with their limbs protruding. The pqlice, on investigation, arrested an Indian man named Jiawan, at Rewa, who confessed to tho murders of five females, and the theft of their jowellery The man showed the graves of the last two whom ho murdered at Rewa a fortnight ago. These deaths were previously unknown.
