A vote of censure on tho Government for its failure to prevent tho illegal entry into Canada of Chineso through Vancouver, and other irregularities connected with immigration, was defeated in tho Federal Houso by 90 votes to SJ.

Tho Government defended itself on tho ground that tho law had proved defective.
