Tho Vienna correspondent of "The Times" gives details of Miss Edith Durham's searching inquiries into twentythree cases of Albanian women who did not flee into Montenegro. They were outraged, beaten, and in some cases afterwards burned to death. Children wero bayoneted. The victims included two nuns. Incidents such as theso have caused tho women to refuse to return to their homes while Turkish soldiers remain in Albania. Tho refugee women state that they would rather starve in Montenegro than again trust the Turks. ■
