DEAF AND DUMB POLITICIANS.

STRANGE MEETING IN BERLIN,

A political meeting of an extraordinary character was held in Berlin on June 11 Deaf and dumb workers of both sexri assembled in lnrge numbers to air their grievances in public, and to devise means for improving their position in the world.

Speeches were delivered bv signs, and were received with sreat enthusiasm. The deaf and dumb workers complain that although they fulfil their obligations as well as normal persons they are bning left behind in the race of life, and they ascribe their sad position to the circumstance that "Junkers still have a mujoritv in Parliament." Thereupon the Socialist Association for the Deaf and Dumb was constituted, whose object is to work vigorously for the success of Socialist candidates in the elections for the Prussian Diet and German Reichstag.
