July 24,' 0.55 a.m.) Ottawa, July 23. Mr. Aylesirorth, Minister for Justice, scouts the idea that a general election is pending in Canada for at least another session. This statement is taken to indicate that tho Government has not abandoned the hope of wearing down the Conservative opposition to the Reciprocity Bill.
