Wedding at St. Paul's.
Tho marriage of Miss Vera Fulton, only; child oi Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Fulton, oi The Terrace, Wellington, with Mr. Frank Horton, eldest son oi Mr. Albert Horton, oi Birmingham, lCngland, was celebrated in St.' Paul's Pro-Oatbedral yesterday atternoon. Tho church had been charmingly decorated with white flowers and lycopoditim by the iriends of the bride, and was filled with guests and onlookers. The Rev. H. Williams was the officiating olergynian, and Mr. Robert Parker presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a very siinplo but ellective gown of rich ivory satin, the skirt being perfectly plain save for tho detached train, which had beautiful hand-om broidery upon it.. Tho bodice was veiled with crystal gauze, and the sleeves and yoke wero of fine Malines lace. A long tulle veil and wreath of orange blossoms, together with a pearl necklace and a pearl brooch presented her by Mr. Horton, was also worn, and she carried a beautiful bouquet, of white carnations and narcissi. The bridesmaids attending her were the Misses May Elder (maid of honour), Dorothy Waldegrave, Hilda Miles, Charley Warburton, and Seed, who all wore very pretty frocks of blue satin veiled with blue ninon, the tunic skirts being bordered with embroidered roses and foliage. Violet, veiled withblue' ninon, bordered tho cream net yokes of tho bodices, and tho large pale blue satin hats, veiled with ninon, had silver cord twisted round the crowns, and a .large bunch of violets at the side. Each bridesmaid carried a beautiful bouqnet of violets and maidenhair fern fastened with silver cord and tassells. Two of thom were presented with gold and leather watch bracelets, and the remaining three received gold flexible bracelets. Professor Laby attended the bridegroom as best man, and Messrs. Cyprian Bridge, Lawrence, Clive Fulton, and D. Kiddiford were the groomsmen. I'iach of them received from the brido a greenstono and silver penholder, and, to the bridegroom, was given a gold half-hunter watch. Mrs. Fulton, tho mother of tho bride, wore a very handsome dress of imolccolourcd satin cloth, with long panels bordered jvith beautiful appliqued handiwork of Egyptian pattern, the same designs being seen upon the bodice also. A tagel straw hat of the same shade, with a band of dull roso panne, and a Horso Guards' plume of roso feathers at the side, completed the toilette, together with a bouquet of rose cyclamens. All the bouquets were the work of Miss Murray. After tho ceremony, a reception was held at tho home of Mr. and Mrs. J. K Fulton. All the rooms were arranged with white flowers, and a white floral bill was suspended from the ceiling at the foot of the stairs. Freesias and white narcissi decoratod tne tables in tho dining-room and the study. Among those present were Mrs. Guy Fulton, wearing grey satin, veiled with grey ninon and a qrrey hat with touches of silver and grey flowers; Mrs. "Waldegrave (Palmerston North), amethyst charmcuse with a hat nf the same shade, trimmed with wallflowers; Mrs. Warburton (Palmerston), mole-coloured costume, with dull silver embroidery, and manve hat; Mrs. G. f'impbell, cream, braided with black, and a black nnd white hut: Mrs. H. Atkinson, frey, with a black hat; Miss Fitzherbert, navy blue costume nnd a black hat. with > : nk roses; Mrs. Joseph, biscuit-coloured braided dress and black hat, with rose plumes; Mrs. Seaton. dark navy blue costumo and black toque with blue ospreys; Miss Seaton, brown costume and brown hat; Mrs. Firth, black velvet costume and big black hat. with shaded rose plumes; Mrs. T. Ward, black satin veiled with ninon, grey and cerise toque and furs; Mrs. Ward, in pale- bine, with large black hat; Mrs. Miles, blue satin, veiled with black embroidered ninon, and trimmed with ermine and a blue, cerise toque; Mrs. F. 'M. B. Fisher. oyster-coloured costumo and amethyst hat with white plumes; Mrs. Fitchctt, pale biscnit-colour-ed costume and blue toque; Miss Nathan, in grey, with a black hat with roses and furs; Miss E. Dean, grey frock, white furs, and black velvet hat; Miss B. Ward, bluo nilion and black hat, with pink roses; Miss R. Simpson, dove-grey ninon with touches of cerise, and largo grey hat. with pink roses and chon of grey ribbon; Mrs. Ponsouby, irey dress, furs, and a black bonnet. There wero also nrcsent—Mrs. Grace, Professor and Mrs. Tlnsterfield, Professor and Mrs. TCankine Brown, Mrs. MaoThvan. Dr. Collins. Sir T?obi>rt Stout, .Tudiro Chanman. Miss 7,. The bride's going-away costume was a pretty tweed, with a dark hat, trimmed with red roses. An Afternoon Tea. Mrs. Lan Duncan wis the hostess at a very enjoyable tea given at her home yesterday afternoon, a great, many of the guests going on there after having attended the wedding of Mrs. Horton, nee Hiss Vera Fulton. Tea and coffee were served in the dining-room, and chocolate in the library, the tables being arranged with beautifully-shaded anemones. Mrs. Duncan was wearing a graceful cream dress with touches of black. Some of those present wcro: Mrs. Grace, Mrß. Dalziel, Miss Harcourt.
