SIR GEORGE REID.

PROGRESSING FAVOURABLY. By Toleernob-Press Associatlon-CoDyrlahi London, July 17. Sir George Reid, Australian High Commissioner, who with his son and daughter was injured in a motor-car accident at Br'oadstaire, on tho Kentish coast, passed a fairly quiet night. Miss Rcid's condition is less favourable, but she is progressing favourably.

King George telegraphed from Edinburgh conveying his sympathy. It is hoped that Sir George will ' be able to quit the nursing home in a few days.

At the time of the collision Sir George Rcid was returning from church. After the accident he pluckily took his daughter to a hospital, and then proceeded to his hotel and informed Lady Reid of the occurrence. Afterwards he learned that his right arm was broken.
