UNITED-Y.M.C.A. From llu; commencement of play Y.M.C.A. carried play into their opponents' circlo. and obtained a corner, but nothing resulted. Still keeping up Hie attack, Y.M.C.A.'s wing, Loader, lost a good chance by oft Vide play. VICTORIA COLLEGE V. WESLEY,

Victoria College, playing with five juniors, defeated Wesley at Karori on Saturday. The College were on the attack for Ihe greater part of the iirst spell, but could not break down.the defence set up by Wesley, whose forwards fell back and assisted the backs. When in a. good position the College players usually spoilt their chances by giving "sticks."' Oram, Strack brothers, and Rigs played well for College during this spell, which ended in neither side scoring. In the second spell Wesley opened up play, and Keys was successful in securing the first goal of the match. College now attacked, and G. Strack equalised the score. The forwards on both sides were making the pace hot, and AVesley reached their opponents' circle, where Smith scored .their second goal. College now rushed play down the wing, and Reed once again equalised the score. The College now continued to attack, nnd G. Strack sent in a shot that the AVesley goalkeeper stopped, but failed to hit out o/ tb; circle. This resulted in C. Strack having a shot, but this was also stopped, the goalkeeper sending it out. to Reed, who hit hard and secured the winning goal. Mr. Forrest was the referee. '

KARORI V. WELLINGTON

This game was played on Xo. 1 ground, Day's Bay, and though iho leaders in the championship secured a win, Wellington, playing with only ten men, in the second spoil managed lo break through the defence.

The Wellington team played only one full-back, and this caused considerable trouble to the. Knrori forwards, who were penalised by off-side play. Karori attacked but AVellington cleared, and give-and-take play ensued. The Black forwards' combination wns too good for Ihe Wellington full-back, who could not stop the passing rushes, and the first spell ended in Davies ('-) and Lewer (1) scoring for Kanri. In the second spell AVellington managed to reach their opponents' circle, and were successful in scoring through the agency of Porter and Dunn, and Davic.s added tlnee more goals for Karori. .
