Area officers have been instructed to arrange with technical school authorities for the training of technical school students. The hours of classes are to be as oertained, and technical school recruits are to be posted to units whose drill hours do not clasli with these hours. With reference to students who are senior cadets, it is suggested that the formation of senior cadet companies at the schools, as is being.done in the Wellington district, might be the most convenient arrangement. It is tho wish of the Commandant that the military training of the technical school .students shall not. in any way interfere with their hours of instruction.
Thirty-trip concession tickets are to be issued to bona-fide students travelling to and from school 011 the Miraniar tramways. This was decided upon at the Borough Council meeting last evening.

Several sets of ear-trucks for the Tramway Department are to arrive by the Nairnshire, due early next week, and others by the Mimiro, due later in the week. The bodies of four box-cars which have been converted into cars of combination type are waiting for the trucks, and will bo put upon the road as soon as they can be mounted. A start will probably be made immediately afterwards with the construction of additional cars.
Several Wadestowu residents have written to the Tramway Department, declaring themselves well pleased with the new tramway to their suburb, and suggesting minor alterations in the running of cars. AH the special Wadestown concession tickets arc now on sale at the Wadestown and city depots.
A lad, who was arrested in tha chy yesterday, will appear beforo tile magistrate this morning 011 a charge of absconding from the Buriiham Industrial School.

It is intimated in the current Gazette t hat Iho Governor has approved the formation of mounted field ambulances at Hamilton, Christchurch, Invercargill, and Palmerslon North.
The New Zealand Surveyors' Board, in conjunction with, the Australian Surveyors' Board, will conduct an examination of candidates for licenses to survey on September 18, 1911, in tho Dominion Museum, Wellington. Conditions aro published in tho Gazette of July G.
