! « QUEBEC FLOODED. By Telegraph—Press Association-Conyrlßht Ottawa, July 4. A sweltering heat wave at Quebec was followed by a. terrific rainstorm. Tho streets were flooded, and business was at a standstill. There was a panic on several of tho river steamers. It is believed no fatalities have occurred. DEATHS FROM HEAT. New York, July 4. A scorching temperaturo still prevails in tho eastern sections of Canada and tho United States. Thero havo been twenty-seven deaths from the heat in New York since Sunday, and fifteen in Philadelphia.
