THE RECIPROCITY BILL.
DEFENCE BY MR. TAFT. By Tcleuraph— Press Association—Copyright (Rec. July 6, 0.50 a.m.) New York, July 5. Mr. Taft, in a speech at Indianapolis, answered the Republican argument that reciprocity with Canada was not a good Republican doctrine. Speaking at the Fourth of July celebrations, he asserted that tho Reciprocity Bill did not differ from that which Blaino and M'Kinley proposed. He admitted that reciprocity would not reduce the cost of living to any considerable extent.
