Ebonite has now got over his sickness, and is back in work at Trentham,. hut Iranui is still spelling. Ingoda's half-brother, Lambton, is showing improvement at Trentham, and should be equal to winning early in the new season.

Irish is' to be pensioned off for life, and arrangements havo been made to turn the veteran''chaser out on Mr, Geo. Currie's station at Wanganui.

There are now about twelve youngsters in work at Trentham. J. Lowe has an Achilles—Marseillaise filly, a half-sister '(by King's Guest) to Theodore, and an Obligado gelding. J. Cress has a gelding by Achilles from Lady Volley's dam, and also an- Elevation colt; and J. Ayers has a gelding by Fontenoy, which was purchased in 'Wanganui. W. Davies and A. Goodman have also some youngsters in work. Ths latter's team includes a filly

hj" Ivilcheran—Moreze, owned by Mr. W. H. lurnbull, and a rising three-year-old by Signalman from Hine-nui-tepo, owned by the gentleman who races as "Mr. P. Soames.' Another member of Goodman's team that is looking well is Irirti, n lialfsister (by Kan Remo) to Iranni.

Although Corazon has not been accepted fcr in the Wellington Steeplechase, there is said to be a probability of his being brought-to Trcntham for the third day s' racing.
