EARTHQUAKE PANIC.
SHAKES IN CALIFORNIA. By TelecraDli—Press Association—OoryricM New York, July 2. Earthquakes' liavo occurred in Central California and Western Nevada, doing, however, but trivial damage. A panic seized tho citizens of San Francisco and Santa Eosa, who mado a pell-mell rush from tho largo buildings. At San Francisco tho Iclophono and lelegraph operators fled from their posts, and tlio services wcro suspended until it was realised that all danger was past. Olio inmate, of a lodging-house foil dead from fright. Tho judgo, jury, and attorneys sitting in the State Court at Carson City fled from tho oourthouse, fearing a oollapso of tho building. A shock was experienced at Reno.
