MINING NEWS. WELLINGTON SIIARE MARKET. Although very little business was done on Saturday, the market for mining shares maintained its firmness. The question of delivering overdue scrip is no doubt creating a stir, and, although Waihi. shares are principally involved, it is not unlikely that other shares, in which short selling has been done, are being also pressed for delivery. It is not known what action the Stock Exchange;; propose taking in tho matter, for the trouble is not confined to Wellington, but extends throughout tho Dominion.
