In tho debato in the Sonato on Reciprocity with Canada, Senator Cummins warned the Republicans that, tho passage of the Bill would mean tho ruin of the Republican party. Ho contended that the Bill was imperfectly drafted, and consequently Canada would be ablo to recognise one-half of it without compulsion to accept tho whole.
