OFFICERS BEGIN TO-DAY.
ON ELECTORAL CENSUS WORK.
By the Legislature Amendment Act, 1910, provision was made for the taking of an electoral census for the purpose of registering the names of persons qualified to vote and who are not already enrolled in respect to the district for which the census is being taken. The Government has appointed July 9 nest as the time for tho taking of tho census, and to-day (July 3) the enrolling officers will start to deliver to householders tho schedules and claims for cn- ™™,? nt form* for the Wellington North Wellington East, and Wellington Central electorates. Each of the enrolling officers will carry with him a corrected copy of the roll, which any householder may inspect. The officers will also attest any claim for enrolment. On July 10, tho'v will again call on householders to nickup the schedules. The registrar for the districts mentioned earnestly requests householders to do all in their power to assist in the taking of tho census. The information required is in regard to ner. sons over 21 years of are.
