WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY.
MOKE SHORE STATIONS NEEDED. By Teleiraph—Press Assot-iation-Ootiyrlchi Melbourne, June 30. A deputation from the Chamber of Commerce asked the Postmaster-General (the Hon. J. Thomas) to establish small commercial wireless stations on various parts of the coast. An anomaly existed in the fact that practically all the overseas steamers were fitted with wireloss apparatus, but there were no land stations to receive and forward messages. Mr. Thomas expressed full sympathy with the deputation, but said that certain legal difficulties had arisen regarding the installation, and it was not dosirablo to proceed till these were settled, lie intended to place a sum on tho Estimates next session for wireless telegraphy.
