Easterly and south-easterly winds, strong to gale, have prevailed northward of Cook Strait, and moderate to strong southerly winds elsewhere. Cold and showerv weather has prevailed, especially on tho Ea<t Coast and northernmost districts. There has been little movement of the barometer, iresent indications are for strong southeasterly winds and northward of Cook strait and variable wind 3 elsewhere.
