STATE PARLIAMENT OPENED. l!y Telrerapli—Pres« A'cnristlnn-CoDyrtebt (Rec. Juno 29, 1.5 a.m.) Adelaide, June 23. The Governor, Admiral Sir D. H. Bosanquet, opened tho State Parliament to-day. The Speech announced a credit balance at tho end of Juno of .£200,000, which will be used in reducing tho public debt. The legislation proposed includes the purchase and control of wharves and railways, to open the malleo lands for settlement; adult suffrage for Legislative Council elections; a Bill for the settlement of the deadlocks between the two Houses; and an Arbitration Act. Tho Government also intend to establish brickworks and a woodyard to supply tho public with firewood. A Supply Bill for half a million was passed by both Houses, and Parliament adjourned until Tuesday, when Mr. Peake, Leader of the Opposition, will movo a motion of want of confidenco on tho administrative acts of the Government during tho recess.
