e • RATHER A "BOLT FROM THE BLUE." "Mercury," our athletic contributor, has received word from Auckland that the Canterbury, Otago,' and Southland Centres have advised that, they do not intend to send teams to compete in tho N.Z.C.C. championships set down for August 12 at Auckland. , As ii result of this, the Auckland Centre intends resigning tho management of tho event and control is to be given over to tho Wellington Centre by tho Council of the N.Z.A.A.A.
