MORE PAY. o DEAIANDS OF RURAL WORKERS MILK DETERIORATING. POSITION IN NEW SOUTH WALES. By Tekcraph—Press Association-Copyright Sydney, June 24. At a conference representative of tho dairying industry, the speakers declared that the wages demanded by tho Rural Workers' Union could not bo paid and leave any profit. Increases would mean a decided check to the industry. A solution suggested was tho recording of individual results of a. herd, by which means dairymen would soon more than double tho return per cow. If this were accomplished tho demand for increased wages need not cause worry. Tho conference appointed a committee to inquiro regarding the demands, and submit a report. A discussion took place on the admitted marked deterioration in the richness of the New South Wales milk supply in recent years. It was claimed that it was tho result of dairymen giving all their attention to producing quautity, without any regard to quality.
