At the annual meeting of tho British and Foreign Biblo Society, held in London on May 3, the Hev. J. 11. Bitson presented the annual report, an interesting, well-illustrated booklet of sixteen pages. Eight new versions have been added to the society's list, which now includes -132 distinct forms of speech. The year's issue represents close upon 7,000,000 copies of the Scriptures, making a total of 229,000,000 since- the foundation of the society. The report briefly reviewed tho work of the society in different parts of the world, and gave some interesting facts as to the labours of the colporteurs, who last year sold more than three million copies. Coming to finance, the committee reported that .C 243.008 had been raised during tho year, an increase of «£92BG. The payments were .£219,095, an increase of .£7089. The balance-sheet showed a deficit o? ,£6003, the result of added expenditure in the record circulation.
