TO-DAY'S DINNER.
(Specially written for TflE Dominion.) WEDNESDAY. Vegetable soup. Stewed steak and watnuts. Potatoes. Leeks. Cup pudding. STEWED STEAK AND WALNUTS. One and a half pounds of steak, 1 pint of stock or water, 1 onion, 2 pickled wnll'tits, pepper and salt, 1 teaspoonful of Hour, loz. butter or dripping. Pnt tho dripping in a frying pan, and when hot put in the steak and brown quickly, drain on paper. Fry tho onions in the same pan; put into a saucepan with Hio steak; add tho gravy, cover closely, and simmer gently for two hours (it must not boil). Skim off all tho fat. Thicken with tho flour mixed, smooth with a little stock, and let it cook for a few minutes. Cut the walnuts into quarters, add them to tho stew, with one dessertspoonful of walnut vinegar. Serve on a hot dish. FOR TO-MORROW. Turnips. Onions. Leeks. Shoulder of mutton. French -beans. Chocolate.
