CORONATION DAY.
The services nt St. Paul's Anglican ProC'athedral, Mulgrave Street, will commence at 10.15 a.m. on Coronation Day (not 10.30, as stated in yesterday's issue). The service will be conducted by the Bishop of Wellington, and his Excellency the Governor will attend in State. Tickets for admission may be obtained on application at tho Diocesan Office, Mulgrave Street. A service will also bo held at St. John's Church (Willis Street), commencing at 10 a.m. It will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. Gibb, and will be on the lines of tho servieo drawn up by the authorities of the Church of Scotland, being a I'resbylerian adaptation of tho Coronation service in AVestminster Abbey.
On Coronation Night a great military torchlight tattoo and fireworks display will take place at the Athletic Park. At 7 o'clock the Wellington Battalion, including tho Boy Scouts, School Cadets, Petone and Wellington Navals, with their respective bands, will mass at the Government Buildings, and proceed by torch and flare light procession to the Athletic Park. On arrival at the park a magnificent display of fireworks will be exhibited, including many set pieces, with hundreds of rockets, Roman candles, flare torches, and thnnderers. In addition lo this tho sth Regiment Wellington Rifles will give a representation of the Battle of Waterloo (the fight and retirement), and the bands stationed at differentpoints of the park will dispense music appropriate to the occasion. The proceeds are to bp devoted ' to' the purchase of drums and fifes for the regiment.
