DEMONSTRATION IN LONDON, PROCESSION FIVE MILES LONG IN THE STREETS. A WOMEN'S PAGEANT. By Telesraph-Press A66oniatlon-oopyrlctit (l!fc. Juno 13, 1.10 a.m.) London, Juno 18. Another immenso women's suffrage demonstration was uiado in the- city yesterday. Mrs. Drummond, riding on liorscback, fed a vast procession, five miles long, of members of the Women's Social and Political League through the streets. The women marched seven abreast, and the total number taking part is put at 4/),000, representing all the different counties. There wero seventy bands scattered through the procession. One section symbolised women's part in history. Then came seven hundred of tho Suffragettes who had suffered imprisonment. These were dressed in whit*. Another section of tho pageant represented the greatness and unity of the Empire. Besides Mrs. Fisher and Mrs. M'Gowe-n, wives of tho Australian Primo Minister and the New South Wales Premier respectively, Lady Brassey and Ladj Cockburn walked in tho procession.
