THORNDON CLUB. The directors of the Thorndon Bowling Club, in their annual report, state that the year closed with a surplus of .£l4, a* a-ainst a debit balance of £M Bs. lid. for the previous year. Thorndon Roses-The' present holders «re Messrs. Lcighton (skip.), 'Wiggins, junr., Wig'ins, senr., and Matthews, and they \von°five games (luring the season. The club was lepresented at the Northern Bowling Tournament in Auckland by two full rinks and three pairs. All the teams' performed creditably, and Messrs. Munro (skip.) and V. Dimock won" the second, prize in the pairs contest, and are to be heartily congratulated. Edwin Feathers—The team representing the club consisting of Messrs. Munro (skip.), G F. AVilson, V. Dimock, and W. I. Clark, having won the last three matches plavcd for these trophies, are the present holders, and they are to be congratulated on the good games they played.

VICTORIA CLUB. Tho annual report of the directors of (■lie Victoria Club congratulate members on the satisfactory state of tho finances (a credit balance of -£50 Us. 3d.). The directors recommend that some steps be taken to minimise the inconvenience caused to members, who, through lack of room, aro unable to participate in the play on some Saturday afternoons, and draw tho attention of members to the fact that at the annual meeting Mr. Keith will move to increase the subscription to ,£3 and limit the membership to 90. The only inter-club trophy held by tho club at the end of the season was the Hill Pins, but Mr. T. S. Mayer, tho club's singles champion, attained distinction and brought honour-to the club by .winning the Wellington Centre's first champion of champions' tournament. The club's challenge trophies are held as follow:—Hamerton Badges, Messrs. Martin, Godbcr, Townsend, and Norwood; Townsend Buckles, Messrs. Vosseler and Mayer; Citizens' Life Pairs, Messrs. Scott and lutto; Wells's Stars, Messrs. J.angdon and Varcoe; the Marks' Singles, Mr. G. MacMorran; senior singles, Mr. T. S. Mayer j junior singles, Mr. E. H. Cavcll; rinks, Messrs. W. M'Girr, F. North, W. If. Kirkor, J. Varcoe; pairs, Messrs. J. Cnllaghan and G. Snaddon.
