COURSING.
A meeting of the Wellington Metropolitan Coursing Club was held at the New Zealauder Hotel last night. Mr. James Warchaiu presided. Messrs. J. J. O'Donoghuo (secretary), and J. Wareham (president) reported that' they had opened negotiations with the chairman of Miramar, Limited, for the use of the Jliramar Racecourse for tho club's' future meetings. Mr. P. IT. Donoghue said he believed the club would receive solid support from the sport'-loviug community, once the club secured a course within a few minutes' ride from the city. Tho secretary stated that he had received numerous inquiries from owners who intend being present at the meeting at the end of this month, and that greyhounds from all parts of the North Island will be competing in the Exhibition Cup. A deputation, consisting of Messrs. J. Williamson, A. Hutchings, A. P. Parsons, P. 11. Donoghue and the secretary were deputed to visit the Miramnr course on Saturday next and see what is required before a coursing meeting can bo hold there. Tho secretary was instructed to secure tho services of Mr. J. Lopdell as judge at the coming meeting. Tho secretary of . tho Palmerston North Coursing Club' wrote stating that his club will hold a big mooting on Coronation Day.-
