Euapchu, which eleared Wellington on April 27, for London, arrived at Plymouth on June 8. ANOTHER COASTAL STEAMER. Mr. W. Signal, superintendent for Messrs.' Levin and Co.'s coastal shipping department. is leaving for England by the lonic on Friday next, to superintend the building of a, r.c.v steamer to replace the Hini!tangi in the Wellinglon-Foxton-West Coast trade. The new vessel in to be somewhat similar to the Himitangi, and is to be built in Scotland. It will be remembered that the Himitangi was recently sold to the Chatham Islands Fishing Co. Athenic will not reach Wellington before Wednesday morning. She has 800 tons of general cargo to discharge at Hobart. She will also bunker 150 tons of coal there, and load 12,000 cases of apples, to be transhipped to the lonic, at Wellington, for South America. 1 ARRIVAL OF THE PAKEHA. A few minutes before 10 a.m. yesterday . the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's , steamer Pakeha arrived from Liverpool, via way ports, and berthed at the KinT's ' Wharf. She left tho Home port on April 13, having on board 1150 passengers, 971 of whom were for Australia. Fine weather , generally characterised the voyage out to Frcmvitlc. which port was made on May 18. This week's Gazette states that Captains William- Brown and John Parker Kasper have been appointed master mariners to act with a surveyor of ships at the port of Auckland in fixing the position of the load-line of vessels.

June 27 is the probable date on which the hearing of the industrial dispute between the Merchant Service Guild and the New Zealand Shipowners' Federation will take place.
