SIR J. WARD AND DR. FINDLAY ABROAD.
Sir, —Apropos of Sir J. Sard's condition in being out of his depth at the Imperial Conference, and the very cold douche he and Dr. Findlay received over their pet scheme being so mercilessly turned down, and of Dr. Findlay's "splendid isolation" in Loudon, aud of tho unwisdom of embarking on a scheme of which they knew so little, the following littlo song I learned at school seems to somewhat illustrate their condition:— Spotty and Dotty were two little dogs; They went to sail on some floating logs. The' logs rolled over, the dogs fell in. They got very wet, for their clothes wero thin. Bow-wow, bow-wow, bow-wow! Oh, dear, lack-a-day; ' Bow-wow-wow! Snotty and Dotty came shivering home, They said: "On water no more we'll roam. AVo won't go sailing till we know how;. Then wo won't get so wet as we both are now." Bow-bow, bow-bow, bow-wow! Oh, dear, lack-a-day; 800-woo-ivoo! —I am, eto., WOWSER.
