Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., in conjunction with Messrs. L. D. Gorton and Son, Ltd., have received instructions from tho executors of the late Mr. G. CI. Wheeler to offer by auction in tho I'eilding Kaleyards on June 28 the whole of'tho Buriord flock of stud Romnoy Marsh ewes. On June the whole of the late Mr. Wheeler's well-known herd of stud and imported Hereford cattlo will ho offered.

The secretary of the Wairarapa and East Coast F. nnd A. Society writes stating that the progrnmmo for the ploughing match to bo held on July 27 has been issued, and, judging by the generous support accorded tho fixture by Masterfon, Carterton, nnd .South Wairarapa residents, it is increasing in popularity. The society looks forward to keen contests, as far moro inquiries are being received for programmes this year, and should ohe weather conditions prove favourable there is every prospect of seeing a large gathering on Mr. Ingley's farm on tho dato mentioned.

This year Messrs. A. Morton (Egmont Village), R. Dingle (Stratford), W. Borrio (Otakeho), T. Bassett 'Mangnwhnre, Northern Wairoa), A. C. Hubbard (Pacroa, directors of the National Dairy Association, retire from t'he directorate, but are eligible for re-oloction.
