The Moorish Government explains that the destruction of property at Lemt'a after tho relief of Fez was an act of reprisal against Riffians, who had quartered themselves in the district, and had cruelly maltreated several postmen, murdering one, and gouging out the eyes of another. The story of the sale into slavery of women and children is denied. Tangier, June 3. The British Government has decided to refuse to receive a Moorish Embassy at tho Coronation, owing to tho barbarities permitted at Lemta. MOVEMENTS OF FRENCH TROOrs. (Rec.
