Mr. John Knowles, of Matnrawn, accompanied by several members of his family, intends spending a holiday in tho Canterbury district. Jlr. The public swimming baths, recently erected here, were formally handed over to the Borough Council on Tuesday evening by a committee who acted on behalf of the citizens. At a meeting of the niiiiisterstjf religion at Oartertou on Tuesday afternoon, it was decided to liold a united service in Carrington Park at 11 o'clock on Coronation Day. Should the neither be net, the service will be .held in Victoria Hall.
