PROMOTIONS AND APPOINTMENTS.
This week's Gazette announces the following promotions and appointments in the New Zealand Territorial Force:— Promoted to bo majors—Captain J, S. Gill N.Z.G.A., Lyttolton; Captain A. C. Cottrcll, N.Z.G.A., Westporf. Promoted to bo captains-Lieutenant Clyde M'Gilp, "A" Battery, New Zealand Field Artillery (Auckland); Lieutenant Frank Sotheran, 12th (Nelson) Regiment j Lieutenant L. M. Shera, No. 3 Company, New Zealand Field Engineers; Lieutenant T. B. Slippn'i 7th Regiment (Wellington West Coast Rifles). _ The Rev. Henry L. Blamires has wen appointed an honorary chaplain of the' Territorial Force. Mr George D. Hamilton has been appointed lieutenant in the 6th (Manawatu) Mounted Rifles. Mr Jnmes 11. Chisholin has been appointed lieutenant of tho 2nd (Wellington West Coast) Mounted Kiflos. The Waimata Valley Defeneo Rifle Club (Wellington Military District), has been disbanded.
