United States of America, and West Indies, and United Kingdom, will bo via Rnrotongn, Tahiti, and San Francisco, elosine at Wellington, per Main Trunk train, Friday, June '.. at 10.30 a.m. On Saturday, Juno 3 (King's Birthday), the Post Office will bo open in all its branches (except tho money-order department) from 9 to 10 a.m. Mails by steamers sailing on that day will close at 8 a.m. The only dispatches by trains will be for the Wairarapa district, which will close at 6.30 a.m.; and those for the Manawatu, Wanganui, Taranaki, Hawkc's Bay, and Auckland districts, which will close at 8 a.m. There will be no day clearances of the city and suburban receivers. Thero will not be any d'elivci'MS through the city and suburbs by the letter carriers, but a delivery will be made at the Drill Shed, Maginnity Street, from 9 to 10 a.m.. <t »(l correspondence which would u.idcr (rdinary circumstances be delivered by lettercarriers; also a similar delivery will be made from tho Drill Shed, Maginnity Street, on Fridav evening, June 2, flora 8.30 to 9.30 o'clock. The parcels delivery counter at the Drill Shed will be'open for delivery of parcels from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m. on Friday, Juno 2. as well as 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Juna 3 (King's Birthday). Mails for Nine Island close at Auckland, per schooner Kereru, on Monday, Juno 5, at 10.45 o,m. Mails for Chatham Islands, per Himitangi, close at Lyttelton, Monday, June 5, at noon. Mails for Australian States and South Africa, close at Auckland, per Maheno, Monday, June 5. at 4.15 p.m. Mails for Australian Stales close at Bluff, per Manuka. Monday, June 5, at 3 p.m. Mails for Rarotouga and Tahiti close at Auckland, per Talune, Tuesday, June 6, at 10.45 a.m. All tho principal mails by train and steamer close at Te Aro and Conrtenay Post Offices at tho same hours n's at the Chief Post Office, with the exception that there is no late-fee clearance. All books and sample-packets and newspapers for places within tho Dominion must bo posted half an hour before tho ordinary letter-mail closes.
